IVECO BUS has been selected by Azienda Trasporti Milanesi S.p.A. (ATM), Milan’s public transport company, for the supply of 153 E-WAY full electric buses. This tender represents the first major milestone in ATM’s sustainable mobility plan which aims to electrify its fleet of buses.

The tender awarded to IVECO BUS comprises 153 electric 12-meter buses and full-service maintenance for ten years. The first deliveries are expected by the first quarter of 2025 and all the remaining buses are to be delivered by June 2026.

The arrival of these buses represents a crucial step for ATM’s electrification plan, which will see half of the 1.200 buses in service being electric by 2026.

IVECO BUS’s last-generation electric technology will fully meet ATM’s sustainable expectations with its significant environmental benefits: zero emissions, range, and silence in operation. With its smooth driving and quiet travel experience, the E-WAY improves the comfort of drivers and passengers, as well as respecting city residents.

«We are proud to play a key role in Milan’s mobility. It is an honor to support ATM in the deployment of its ambitious energy transition plan with our competitive total cost of ownership offering that includes vehicles with components provided by the Italian supply chain.

«This confirms our ambition and commitment to contribute to the energy and ecological transition of public transport in Italy», said Giorgio Zino, Head of Europe Commercial Operations.
