EUROPEAN COMMISSION PROPOSAL TO REDUCE EMISSIONS

The European Commission has put forward new proposals to reduce emissions in transport and logistics, aiming for a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050. They include measures such as incentives for zero-emission vehicles and adjustments to heavy-duty vehicles.

Ford Pro has announced significant upgrades to the productivity of the Transit, with improvements to connectivity, communication and information technology, automatic transmission and advanced assistance systems for safety. Available from 2024.

LAST MILE ELECTRIFIED

Ford Pro and Deutsche Post DHL Group recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the use of electrified vans in its logistics operations worldwide. Ford Pro will equip Deutsche Post DHL Group with more than 2,000 electric delivery vans by 2023, enabling it to enhance its leading position in the use of electric vehicles for last mile deliveries. The agreement covers solutions for operating the electric fleet, including access to Ford Pro’s E-Telematics connected software and charging solutions, aiming to reduce costs and optimise efficiency.
